About Kristen

It’s been an honor to serve my neighbors on the Natick Select Board. Three years ago, we made history together - and with your support, I would like to serve a second term.

Serving Natick is personal. When my family and I moved here almost 9 years ago, we felt the welcoming culture that makes Natick such a great place to live. From the “Peace Flags” flying on homes to Natick Days to quickly finding ways to serve. After three years of serving on the Personnel Board, I felt the urge to do more. I saw an opportunity for more representation on the select board. The opportunity has allowed me to balance motherhood, my career, my other volunteer responsibilities and service to the town. 

I am proud and grateful for the work I have accomplished with my colleagues on the Select Board and you, the community. I am running for reelection to continue building a growing, inclusive, and fiscally stable town.

My purpose — personally and professionally — is to promote the well-being of others and connect people with the resources they need to thrive.

During the past three years, I’ve worked alongside my colleagues to strengthen fiscal stability, expand diverse representation in town government, support economic development, invest in town infrastructure and lead with unity.

Together, we have:

-          Increased diverse representation in town government by appointing dozens of new and diverse volunteers to committees

-          Supported economic development through a single tax rate and updated alcohol licensing policies to attract new restaurants

-          Voted to place a $7M override on the ballot to stabilize town services and protect school level services — which passed with 60% support

-          Passed an immigration enforcement policy aligned with state law

-          Worked across differences to lead with unity and balance community interest

-          Worked intentionally across differences — meeting with leaders from both political parties, serving as Council on Aging liaison, and listening closely to families: from our youngest to senior residents.

There is important work ahead in affordability, accessibility, capital planning, community well-being, accessibility to town government, and ensuring every resident feels heard and represented -  all while preserving the welcoming spirit that makes Natick special.

I hope to meet with as many of you as I can to hear from you, answer your questions and continue to envision, work towards and steward Natick’s possibilities.
